We Are Environmentally Conscience Painters

Environmentally friendly paints are defined as having no detrimental effect on the environment, nor on society.

At Colorado Commercial & Residential Painting, we are inspired to help preserve the quality of the air we breathe and value the use of environmentally friendly paint that minimizes air quality impact without sacrificing performance.

Although paint is available in a rainbow of colors, not all paints are "green".

It's typically a simple thing to spot the difference between environmentally friendly paint and conventional paint. All you need to do is just pop open the lid and take a whiff.

The familiar fresh paint odor of a conventional latex or especially a solvent-borne paint consists of a variety of greenhouse gases and other environmentally harmful chemicals that are released to the atmosphere as the paint is applied and in the drying stages.

Eco-friendly paints, however, emit little or no environmentally unsafe materials into the air (we call these VOCs, which we talk about more below).

Many environmentally friendly paints contain ingredients like natural dyes, water, milk, casein, essential oils, plant oils, and resins. Additional ingredients are derived from natural minerals such as clay, chalk and talcum, milk casein, natural latex, bees’ wax, earth and mineral dyes. The oil-based natural paints usually have a pleasant fragrance of citrus or essential oils, while the water-based natural paints give off almost no odor at all.

These paints are proven to be the safest for your health and for our environment.

Why Do We Need Environmentally Friendly Paints?

The air you breathe indoors is more than three times as polluted as the air outdoors. A major source of indoor air pollution can be interior paint.

The reason is that most of these paints may contain harmful compounds, toxic substances, and chemicals – VOCs.

The paint production process can also very be energy-intensive.

What are VOCs?

VOCs are volatile organic compounds.

These include hydrogen and carbon. They evaporate easily into the air we breathe and can cause serious health concerns when inhaled.

The “green certified” paint that we can apply for your special project has no or low volatile organic compounds that are also harmful to our precious ozone layer.

These environmentally preferable coatings have been thoroughly tested according to science-based procedures and are proven to work as well or better than others in their class.

Benefits of Environmentally Friendly Paint

Well, just about everyone and everything benefits from environmentally friendly paint.

As we just mentioned, eco-friendly paints contain little-to-no VOCs. Thus, they are safer for our air and everything that breathes it.

They don't impact the ozone layer. Using eco-friendly paints lightens your carbon footprint.

Environmentally friendly paints contain natural ingredients like clay, milk proteins called casein, citrus, lime, and balsam.

Eco-friendly paints emit little-to-no smell. Moreover, the odor dissipates in under a few hours.

Besides being eco-friendly, these products are also effective in reducing mold, condensation, and mildew.

Eco-friendly paints meet the EPA and GREENGUARD Environmental Institute standards for environmentally friendly paints.

Are There Disadvantages?

Although environmentally friendly paint is mostly beneficial, there might be some reasons people don't want to use it.

What to Look For

We carry a wide variety of environmentally friendly paints from brands like Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, and KILZ. If you'd like to use this type of paint on the interior or exterior of your home or business, we'll make our best recommendations.

Exterior Condo Painting

At the Gold Peak at Palomino Park subdivision in Highlands Ranch, Colorado

Colorado Commercial Painting successfully performed the exterior painting at Gold Peak on time and in a quality fashion.

This resort style exterior condo painting project consisted of 329 condos and townhomes located just south of C470 and west of Quebec in in the area known as Eastridge. This pet friendly community is also part of the Highlands Ranch Community Association and has fantastic mountain views next to an 18-hole golf course in a private, gated community. It's front door archways are beautiful and its contemporary exterior lines are unique.

There is a park which has a mile long jogging path, three tennis courts, football and soccer fields, both grass and sand volleyball courts, a frisbee golf course and if that isn't enough outdoor fun, they even have an outdoor putting green!  For those health conscious individuals there is an incredible health club complete with a full-sized, indoor basketball court, indoor golf nets, steam rooms, massage therapy rooms, personal trainers, a resort size pool, spa, cafe and bar. Talk about being spoiled!  The village itself has not only an amazing swimming pool but an open-air spa, a large party room and kitchen, a big screen TV lounge and gas BBQ grills for your enjoyment. The next time you're in the area, check this "resort" out and take a look at the exterior painting work we did while you're at it.

This was a construction defect project and we had to work with a variety of other trades in addition to creating a special communication plan with the homeowners. Considering the amount of construction and amount of owners (each with their own unique needs), the project went smoothly. Our team, from upper management, project management and foremen, coupled with the aide of the outstanding project management with the general contractor, allowed us all to overcome the hurdles and create a product that is beautiful and of high quality standards.

painting apartments

When painting apartments, you are often pressed by deadlines, working around other trades and the renters themselves. You must be prepared to properly manage large crews to ensure the successful completion in a timely manner without sacrificing quality. In the Spring time you can often see our company in the Denver Metro area painting apartments of all sizes, shapes and colors.

We completed both interior and exterior painting on three story buildings at the Village at Oak Street, which is a 244-unit apartment complex in Lakewood, Colo. The $27 million Village at Oak Street project was actually built on the site of a former Target store that was 160,000 SF.

Unless you're living at a luxury apartment complex that is well maintained, oftentimes, your first look at your new place may be  disappointing to say the least. This is where our company, who specializes in painting apartments,  provides an amazing transformation at a relatively low investment. Painting is one of the best return on investments an apartment complex owner can invest in. With all the new apartment complexes being built, existing owners are realizing that in order to lower vacancies and achieve higher rents, they need to invest in their properties, and some may need an entire exterior "facelift."  Also numerous renters have unlocked their new front doors to find horrible odors, peeling and yellowing and paint, miscellaneous stains and scuff marks throughout or a horrendous paint job with offensive colors that are a real turnoff to say the least. If you decide to take on the interior painting project yourself, make sure to read your rental agreement and check with your landlord beforehand, as you may not be allowed to paint the unit your living in and could potentially lose your security deposit.

If you're considering painting the interior or exterior of your complex and painting apartments isn't really your thing, please consider our company for a free quotation by calling us at (303) 574-1740.

We look forward to hearing from you and making your property beautiful and lowering your vacancy rate and tenant turnover!

Painters in Denver

When Zaarly was looking for qualified painters in Denver Colorado, they researched and interviewed many companies before choosing Colorado Commercial & Residential Painting. After thorough customer interviewing and due-diligence, they decided that he and his wife's company were the right service provider for them. Wayne was recently interviewed regarding the house painting services they provide and why their company has doubled their sales in the last couple of years.

Many consumers complain that there are few painters in Denver that can provide a quality product in a timely manner at a reasonable price while providing a good customer experience. Many paint companies claim to be proven painters in Denver but few have the experience and customer service background as the owners and management team at Colorado Commercial & Residential Painting. The company initially did not perform house painting and were limited to commercial painting only. When the recession hit hard in 2008 and 2009, the management team decided it needed to increase cash flow in order to survive. With their combined management and customer service skills, they took the home owner services challenge head on and haven't looked back since. Wayne mentions that "We felt that our backgrounds in sales, marketing and customer service, provided a huge advantage over our competitors, so we decided to add the house painting profit center. It turned out to be crucial in allowing us to be where we are at today".  The entire team lives their mission statement of remembering the "Golden Rule" treating others the way they want to be treated, doing what they say they're going to do (and a little more), and exceeding their customers value expectations.

house paintingAward Winning Painters Fourth year in a row!

Colorado Commercial & Residential Painting has done it again and have earned the esteemed 2014 Angie’s List Super Service Award

This award reflects our company’s consistently high level of customer service and we're very proud of all those involved in helping us to maintain our "A" ranking.

Colorado Commercial & Residential Painting has once again earned the coveted service industry’s Angie’s List Super Service Award, which once again, reflects an exemplary year of service provided to consumer review service members in 2014.

As the economy continues to boom and the labor pool is thinning, most service businesses struggle to maintain high customer satisfaction and company growth. Eventually something has to give in most businesses. We believe the key is to maintain controlled growth and don't grow too big, too fast no matter how tempting it is in Denver's current market.

Vice President, Wayne Wright says “It is definitely not getting any easier to stay on top as our company continues to grow in this vibrant construction economy in Denver right now. It is really an honor to once again receive this award – especially when we have so many more employees to count on to deliver first class service. Kudos are once again in order to our entire CCRP team!”

Commercial Painters

Our commercial painters put the finishing touches to the interior and exterior painting at the Peregrine Place apartment community conveniently located on Mississippi Avenue across from the Infinity Rugby Park which has a 83% Walkability Rating.

When our commercial painters are painting apartment complexes, we are often under the microscope by a myriad of individuals, so ensuring quality and creating and implementing a written communication plan is vitally important to keep all parties satisfied.  This complex has a variety of beautiful earth tones throughout the exterior; including stucco and siding. The colors that were chosen to blend in nicely with the environment, which gives it a sense of style and sophistication.  The Peregrine Place apartment community is located in Denver midway between Downtown Denver and the Denver Tech Center. As the Trulia web site mentions "these distinctive interiors will include: full-size washer/dryer, stainless steel appliances, complimentary, secure Wi-Fi, dramatic vaulted ceilings on top floors, 9 ft ceilings on all other floors, large windows to maximize views and light, elegant quartz countertops, decorative tile kitchen back splashes, exquisite cabinetry, satin nickel pulls & under cabinet lighting and balconies/decks in select homes."

Although our company specializes in commercial re-painting projects, we have performed many ground-up painting projects for contractors throughout the years. We have been fortunate enough to be able to carefully select the business partners we choose to do business with and have come to realize that there are only so many qualified commercial painters available - especially in a tight labor market, so we must be selective in choosing our customer base.  Our company is looking for customers that have values consistent with ours, like treating others the way you want to be treated ("The Golden Rule").

If you or someone you know has a large commercial painting project, and is looking for commercial painters that are fair, ethical and conscientious please consider Colorado Commercial .

Painting Condos

Painting Condos in Denver

We recently completed painting condos at the beautiful, High-Performance and High-Style Riverclay Condominiums.

More specifically, we painted all of the metal railings on the balconies and beams on the façade on the entire six story, sixty-unit complex in Denver's Historic Jefferson Park.  This was a very challenging project to get the large boom lift to reach several areas with poor accessibility such as the West exposure with the telephone lines in the way; which necessitated driving the lift partially onto the concrete sidewalk. Besides adding additional safety precautions, we also needed to protect the landscaping, building and concrete while dealing with street closure/signage/permitting issues. The rear (Southern) exposure of the building had a new construction project underway which added even more issues to deal with and poor accessibility.  Lastly, we were asked to minimize invading the homeowners privacy and working on the balconies through entering the balconies from the exterior only. We properly completed the project on time and within budget with minimal issues and the fresh paint really gave this beautiful complex a nice and newer look and feel.

Not only was RiverClay's focus on environmental and high-performance sustainable design but it  is the Rocky Mountain Region's very first LEED ®-Certified condominium development, certified at the Silver level.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design ("LEED") certification is bestowed upon only after a building meets a very comprehensive and rigorous set of third-party requirements that have been verified for sustainability, energy conservation and performance, and indoor air quality.

If you ever have or know of anyone with a project that entails painting condos please remember to contact us for a free written proposal.

Cabinet Painting

Colorado Commercial & Residential Painting has enhanced the beauty of many kitchens in the Denver Metro area through their professional cabinet painting process. They will transform your kitchen by professionally painting or re-staining your cabinets. Are you sick of your old cabinets but don't want to invest in purchasing and installing new ones or refacing and replacing your drawer fronts and doors for updated look.  These purchases can be quite costly. We have a very cost effective and beautiful alternative.

Repainting kitchen cabinets is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to transform the look of your entire kitchen. When repainting kitchen cabinets, the most important step is the surface preparation. Also, before we begin preparing the cabinets to receive new paint, we ensure you have the appropriate paint to withstand the heavy use kitchen cabinets receive.

We start by removing all doors and hardware and clean the existing varnished wood work. We then sand, clean, mask and primer all the wood surfaces before applying the fine finish topcoat.

You end up with an entirely new look and feel in your home at a fraction of the cost to replace with new cabinets.
